Widgets Explained
Widgets are small, dynamic building blocks that connect external websites directly to the Bilberry Base system.
Widgets can be embedded into your site to display live information like available activities, product details, and booking options, allowing customers to browse, select, and complete bookings without leaving your website.
Bilberry Base offers a variety of widgets to choose from, including booking widgets for reservations and informational widgets that showcase activities and experiences in real time. Widgets are also customizable to match your site's branding and look and feel, providing a seamless and consistent experience for your customers while keeping all information up to date. This makes it easy to keep your website updated and fully integrated with your operations in Base.
Adding widgets to a website work by embedding a small piece of code into your website, typically using a script tag. Before adding widgets, it is needed to set up the connection between the website and Bilberry Base with the use of a configuration code. This code establishes a secure connection between your website and your Base account, ensuring that the widget displays the correct products, availability, and booking information.
Once the connection is set, widgets pull live data directly from Base, automatically reflecting any updates you make in real time — such as changes to pricing, availability, or activity details.
You can learn how to do this by checking out our guide on how to add the configuration code to your website.
